Technique Levels

Contemporary (Intermediate to Advanced)

For dancers with at least two years of consistent Contemporary or Ballet training.
Ideal for dance enthusiasts, pre-professionals, and professionals who have a solid understanding of their bodies and are looking to challenge themselves while enjoying the rigour of structured dance training.

Contemporary (Beginner)

This class is designed for individuals with basic dance experience who wish to build foundational technique and explore movement quality in a supportive setting.

Contemporary Class only!

Thread Dance Centre reserves the right to assess participants’ skill levels during the open class and to reassign them to breakout sessions that best align with their technical abilities.

Jazz (Beginner)

Open to anyone interested in learning the fundamentals of jazz technique in a welcoming, beginner-friendly environment.

Kidz Hip-Hop & Flag Class

Open to children aged 7–10 who love to dance and are excited to participate in the final showcase.

Registration

Payment

  • Registration is confirmed only upon payment.

  • Please WhatsApp your payment screenshot to +65 8812 3815 with your full name and the code “DA25” or “DAKidz25” the payment reference.

Please note:

  • Requests for replacement classes will not be entertained if participants are unable to attend this event.

  • Cancellations, proration of fees, or refunds are not permitted.

  • However, you may transfer your registration once to another person at no additional cost. Kindly inform Thread Dance Centre at least 48 hours before the event.

T-Shirt Size

Please note that T-shirt sizes are final and cannot be changed, even in the case of registration transfers or incorrect size selection.
We encourage you to refer carefully to the size chart before submitting your order.

Trial Classes, Observations & Walk-ins

Trial classes, class observations, and walk-ins are not available for this event.
This policy ensures a focused and safe learning environment for all participants.
We appreciate your understanding and encourage full registration for those ready to commit.

Arrival & On-site Registration

On-site registration: 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM
Participants are encouraged to arrive on time or slightly earlier to locate the studio, register, and change into appropriate dance attire if necessary.
Punctuality helps ensure a smooth start and demonstrates respect for instructors and fellow participants.

Health & Safety Measures

For the well-being of all, we kindly ask that only individuals in good health attend the event. If you are feeling unwell or experiencing any symptoms, please stay home and prioritise your recovery.

Injury / First Aid

A first aid kit will be available on-site for minor injuries and emergencies.

Venue Facilities

  • Restrooms are available on every floor.

  • Please help us keep the space clean and do not leave trash behind.

  • A water dispenser is located on Level 1 for refilling water bottles.

Photo & Video Policy (PDPA)

All services and activities may be photographed or recorded by our team.
Images of participants may be used in our materials or for promotional purposes.
By attending the class, you consent to the use of your image as described.

To maintain a respectful learning environment, participants and parents are not permitted to take photographs or videos during classes.

Attire Guidelines

Please dress modestly and wear comfortable dance clothing:

  • Loose T-shirt and long pants or opaque leggings

  • Hair must be neatly tied back or secured

Footwear requirements:

  • Contemporary: No shoes required

  • Jazz: Dance shoes required

  • Hip-Hop & Flags: Sports shoes required

Class Etiquette

  • Please arrive on time for all sessions.

  • Food should be consumed only in designated areas

  • Only plain water is allowed inside the studios

  • Mobile phones must be on silent mode at all times

Lunch

Please note that our caterer does not operate in a nut-free kitchen.

If you have specific dietary needs, you are welcome to bring food that suits your requirements.

Please inform the organisers of any food allergies during registration. 

Parent / Guardian Guidelines (Kidz Class)

  • Parents or guardians are required to register their child on-site on the day of the event.

  • Children must be able to follow instructions. If not, parents/guardians may be invited in to guide them.

  • Parents/guardians not attending other sessions must remain nearby for the first 30 minutes, in case the child requires 1-on-1 support.

  • It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to determine their child’s suitability at the point of registration.

Medication

Kindly note that the organisers will not be responsible for providing or administering any medication on your behalf during the event.


Showcase & Closing

There will be a showcase and a time of worship at the end of the event.
We warmly encourage parents/guardians to attend and support the children.

  • Each participating child may invite up to a maximum of 2 guests. Infants and toddlers below 3 have to be carried or sit on an adult’s lap) during the showcase. Tickets will be given to parents/ guardians during the on-site registration.

  • Doors to the hall will be open at 4:20 pm. Guests are expected to show their tickets in order to be admitted.

  • Children participating in the showcase are expected to wear the complimentary event T-shirt

  • After their performance, children will return to sit with their parents/guardians

What to Bring – For Kidz Class Participants Only

  • Sports shoes

  • T-shirt and Bermudas

  • Labelled water bottle

  • Small towel

  • Tissue

  • Light snacks

  • Small bag to hold belongings

  • Flag for class

** Practice flags will NOT be provided during this event. We kindly ask that children bring their single-layer flag, not exceeding 90 cm in width and 110 cm in length. Flags will be available for purchase on-site for $45 each, if you do not have one.
