Jazz Beginners Class
In this Jazz class, students will explore a fresh style of movement that encourages expression and artistry in worship. They'll be introduced to essential steps and terminology while learning to move with precision and musicality at varying tempos. The class emphasises body awareness, rhythm, and spatial dynamics—guiding students from simple gestures to more connected, full-body sequences. As they grow in their ability to interpret music through dance, they'll gain a new experience in worshipping God using Jazz!
Open to anyone interested in learning the fundamentals of jazz technique in a welcoming and beginner-friendly environment.

About Ivy Talaban
Born and raised in the Philippines, Ivy Talaban began her performing arts journey as a teenager on a full theatre scholarship. By 16, she was already mentoring young artists at LCB Performing Arts Centre in Davao City.
Her career later took her to Singapore, where she served as Show Captain for Universal Studios’ Animated Street Stars. There, she found joy in creating moments of wonder for global audiences—an experience she found both formative and fulfilling.
A dynamic trainer and gifted communicator, Ivy is known for her creative leadership and compassion. She also ministered through dance at Throneroom Sessions, Singapore’s first prophetic dance and arts conference.
Now back in Davao and joyfully married to Niger Aw, Ivy co-founded Flamenco Davao, where she teaches Flamenco, Latin Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop to all ages. She also serves as Dance Director of Thread Dance Philippines, passionate about worship that transcends boundaries and empowers people to walk boldly in their God-given purpose.
About Lesley Marie Kong
Lesley Marie Kong serves as one of the Dance Directors of Thread Dance Philippines, bringing years of experience as a choreographer, teacher, and performer. Known for her sensitivity to the Spirit and depth of movement, she carries a strong anointing in both leadership and worship through dance.
A former scholar at LCB Performing Arts Centre in Davao City, Philippines, Lesley is trained in Jazz and Tap and continues to teach with clarity, joy, and energy.
She previously played a vital role in the children's ministry at Every Nation Church Singapore, where she nurtured the next generation in both faith and creativity through her teaching.
Lesley’s calling is rooted in a deep partnership with Yahweh, releasing healing, transformation, and divine presence through movement. Wherever she leads worship in dance, atmospheres shift, hearts soften, and the Spirit of God moves.
